We are two enthusiastic breeders in the far north of the Netherlands. As the name suggests we are father and son.
Johannes Koster (senior), now more than 30 years experience, is living in Tzum (Friesland). In the first years of the birds it was a fun pastime and a fun hobby starts in recent years on a more sport’s like hobby. Participation in the exhibitions is not a question but is a must.

 

 

The urge to participate in the exhibitions is also because the results of the last period. In the exhibitions section of our own district (edelzanger, in Franeker) the birds performing generally very good. Since 1994 I can call myself a top breeder of the Parktieten Speciaal Club. (this title can be achieved by 5 or more birds of 90 points (or more) at the show.) This title I have achieved in the category Agaporniden.

 

 

For several years, Johannes also participated in several exhibitions with the English budgerigars. At various shows he has achieved already 90 points or more, however, the top status is still (to date, 2008) do not achieve. At the last show the he was 1 point short to achieve the Top-status. At the English budgerigars the A-status has been achieved.

Johan Koster (junior) is since 1995 active in the bird world. Johan also comes from Tzum. The first years of the hobby was not very intensive. 2006, the real work began. From this year there was a bird loft and could Johan participate in various exhibitions. Johan also shows the birds in the local exhibition, the Parkieten Speciaal Club and the BVA (European championship).
In the year that Johan participated the first to the Parkieten Speciaal Club he had achieved the top status.
